Working on
It is very hard to select one or another work when we are intending to talk about the works we are still working on, because usually we are working on several projects at the same time, and in fact we can never consider that a project is really finished; however we could mention some we are still working on...
This is a project addressed to accomplish its goals within an Art Fair, like Art Basel, the idea is to sale a limited edition of this chocolates with the wraps based on designs after the Cuban billboards intending to sale with the chocolate that Cuban idea of utopia.
El viaje, is part of the many works we have develop about the idea of a "journey", as a reference to a change of state or the implications of moving from place to another. This project is also based on our personal and social experiences.
Este trabajo lo realizamos durante la VII Bienal de la Habana, fotografiamos detalles en las calles de las paredes y los imprimimos al tamaño real y las viramos al azul, luego pegamos las fotos sobre la misma supercifie de manera tal que el detalle real quedaba oculto tras la fotografía.....
“La ciudad infinita” is a kind of a social experiment based on the possibility to simulate the process of transculturation (or integration) that happens to emigrants. After the experiences of many of our friends and after that poem of Konstantin Kavafis, The city, and also after our own experiences when we have travel, we conclude that “homeland” is somehow that anonymous wall passing by, next to our shoulder, we never look at it, but its presences make us feel at home, when we don’t have it we start imagining it in the walls of the host city where we are.
Los que ya no están es simplemente un catálogo de las casas de nuestros amigos que ya no viven en la Habana, su ausencia y su presencia se trasluce para nosotros en estas imágenes.
